I’ve noticed in the past month people feeling despair, confusion, anger, doubt, etc. in their relationships. I’ve noticed talk about divorce rates skyrocketing. My prognosis for relationships, post corona, is either a lot of babies will be born (which is a brilliant distraction from looking at oneself and one’s relationships) or a lot of people will break up. Of course, that is not what I desire for people.

THOSE ARE NOT THE ONLY TWO OPTIONS. Relationships can transition to other forms and evolve in ways that feel good to both people. This week, we show you an example that really hits home. This week, our very own Heather – former co-creator of Radical Pleasurist (no, we are no longer business partners), shares her story and her evolution. This is a beautiful introduction to how an extremely close relationship in one form (and at times, it was codependent and very painful for both of us) has transitioned IN LOVE to another form where both of us are thriving. This kind of intimacy and relating is available to you if you are ready to listen. Listen to Heather’s story this week. I am deeply honored by it and as usual, in deep awe of her.

In a future article, I’ll share details of how we transitioned in the most loving way I’ve ever experienced and how I’m now offering this kind of coaching to individuals and couples. Breaking up doesn’t need to be a thing anymore.

Heather’s journey – from barely functioning, fearful, anxious and in constant physical pain to helping people craft their own journeys toward supporting their bodies, healing through non-sexual touch, and truly recognizing their bodies’ requests and needs – is a wild one.

Quite a bit of her evolution was done in full view and with the loving involvement of community… on the dance floor, at snuggle parties, retreats, workshops, on the #everybuddy show, in Radical Pleasurist videos, posts, and programs. Discover where Heather’s journey is taking her next!

And here’s Heather…

The definition of a Radical Pleasurist is: the courageous, open-hearted, badass human committed to experiencing Radical Pleasure every day of their life even when life feels shitty. The maverick who chooses pleasure over pain, fear, guilt, and shame.

While I will always consider myself to be a Radical Pleasurist based on that definition, I am no longer legally a Radical Pleasurist.

Before I share how I am helping people craft their own journeys toward supporting their bodies, healing through non-sexual touch and truly recognizing their bodies’ requests and needs, I share some context in the video below.

When I first started learning from Sophia, I felt fearful, anxious and in physical pain most of the time; especially when a man was nearby. Imagine how difficult that would be. I was a full time rideshare driver – which meant I invited strangers into my car for 5 -10 hours a day, 6 days a week. Most of them were men. So what did I do? I practiced. I practiced the body awareness method Sophia taught me (Body Tracking). I practiced the different ways of communicating that she suggested. I practiced noticing the subtle shifts in my experience. I took notes. What I share about my experience is not purely subjective – it is also based on the quantitative and qualitative data I kept to remind me exactly what my experience of life was like at that time.

In the fall of 2018, Sophia asked me to join the company as her business partner. I enthusiastically and instantly agreed.

Quite a bit of my evolution through 2019 was done in full view and with the loving involvement of my community… on the dance floor, at snuggle parties, retreats, workshops, on the #everybuddy show, in Radical Pleasurist videos, posts, and programs.

What is my experience now? It’s hard to describe and do it justice. I can say that in contrast to where I was in early 2018, I have many truly wonderful, caring, supportive, funny, kind, and intelligent humans in my life. I feel comfortable around men in a way I never have before. My daughter and I communicate much more easefully now and enjoy each other’s company again. I am deeply connected to my body. While I do still feel challenged with a negative and mean inner critic committee, it is significantly less frequent or vicious.

That brings me to the next chapter of my evolution.

Having recovered from chronic illness and all the things life can throw at a person all within a few years – divorce, frequent moves, family drama, job loss, bankruptcy, an abusive relationship, single parenthood – I designed a radical self-care process that moved me from barely surviving to thriving. By recognizing that the illness and pain I had in my body (in part) was a reflection of my own self – talk and the choices I had made, I vowed to heal and extend my hard won lessons to help others. I am now offering my processes, journey, and testimony to nurture others toward recovery and full, vibrant lives.

My wildly varied experiences include holistic health and healing, somatic experiencing, project and event management, healing through platonic touch, transformational communication and radical acceptance of the moment. I am now teaching others to identify and articulate their desires and needs, how to connect more deeply with themselves and others as well as release trauma stored in their body through movement.

Would you like to learn how you can create your own next level life? Please visit htcampbell.com and schedule a free 20 minute zoom session with me. In these particularly stressful times, it is more crucial than ever to “put your own oxygen mask on before assisting others”. We don’t all have the same kind of “oxygen mask” though, and many don’t know what theirs looks like. I can help you figure that out. On this free call, we will create your own Radical Self-Care Plan that you can put into action immediately.

I look forward to connecting with you!
